Women in Building participated in the 4th Annual Celebration of HOPE Walk in Seaside Heights, to support a local organization HOPE Sheds Light, which provides education, support, and resources to families affected by the addiction crisis in our area. As we all know, this epidemic does not discriminate and, what you may not know is that one of our members has lost a child to this crisis. Not only did more

than a dozen of our PWB members walk for HOPE, but some of their family members walked, and our efforts raised $1,500.00, making our overall fundraising goal! In addition to the PWB walk team, “Too Inspired to be Tired”, many Shore Builders member companies had walk teams, so we had plenty of great company! It was an exciting day for everyone, as literally hundreds of yellow shirts took to the boardwalk for this much-needed organization. The Professional Women in Building are proud to support causes that touch the lives of people right in our own neighborhoods. Speaking of touching lives locally, on September 30th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, members of our PWB will be participating in
stories. Lunch will be served and the girls will participate in a career minded activity. We are looking forward to partnering with BBBSMMC to bring this program to their organization! The PWB of the Garden State is always looking for new council members. If you, or someone you know, is a member of any of our four local builder’s associations in the state of New Jersey, you can join our PWB. You can also be a male and join our council, too, as we are not just all ladies, here! For more information or to join, please click here.
