m I the only one that feels like 2017 was a blur? Here we are, starting off the new year and I’m still wondering what happened to summer! One thing I know for sure about 2018, Shore Builders Association is looking forward to even more of the best of our accomplishments from last year. With many of our favorite events like the FAME Awards and our BBQ on the Beach in the queue for this year, we are working on a few new programs and events that are sure to be new favorites. Here is my look ahead for 2018. At our annual breakfast meeting on Wednesday, January 31st Stephen Melman, Director, Economic Services of NAHB, will provide us with a recap of the past year and present us with the economic forecast for 2018 at the Jumping Brook Country Club. If you are interested in learning more about what the year may hold for our industry, this is a must-attend event. Registration is now available for the Economic Forecast meeting. The Annual FAME Awards will be held on Thursday, March 8th where the best and the brightest in sales & marketing will be honored. This is one of the biggest networking events of the year, so be sure to keep an eye out for registration to attend this fun and exciting night.

Every April members gather in Atlantic City for the Atlantic Builders Convention. In addition to the convention floor, there are multiple events and educational opportunities for anyone in the building industry. Be sure to check the website and book your convention room and secure your convention tickets. work. Committee members work together to ensure the longevity of the industry. Some of our committees plan the events, others work on legislative and legal issues. From Young Professionals to Professional Women in Building, there is a committee for every interest, click here to view a complete list of committees. If you have not joined and worked on a committee, I urge you to get involved this year. Members who work on committees form better, long lasting relationships with other members, do business with more members, and have more successful association memberships. I’m really excited to kick off 2018, and we are ready to hit the ground running to provide the best association experience for our members. Happy New Year!
