We are so excited for FAME this year! It’s not that we aren’t ALWAYS excited for the FAME Awards, but this year seems a little more special because we’re planning for an in-person event. Last year we were fortunate enough to have FAME at the end of February, before our lives became COVID-complicated. Toward the end of 2020 our committee deliberated and debated about whether or not to hold our much- loved event virtually, as many Associations have had to do, or if we should try to hold an in-person event. After reviewing the recent implementation of additional safety protocols being followed by our venue and making the decision to push FAME to May this year, we are ready to host a safe, in-person event that everyone will be excited to attend! The FAME committee has been working closely with our venue to ensure the safety of those who plan on attending. We are excited to share that South Gate Manor has revamped their event space to include an open-air design for the cocktail space. The glass wall on the side of the space can now be opened completely to allow for fresh air to circulate throughout, and attendees are able to enjoy the outdoor space. In addition, the banquet room can be open to the cocktail room to allow for a much larger, open space. Not only will there be more space, but we will follow all masking and social distancing guidelines in effect at the time of our event.

With all of the planning that usually goes into FAME, our additional format changes will allow for a more streamlined presentation. All of our favorite parts of FAME will remain the same – cheering one another on & celebrating wins, photography for the winners, an amazing cast of emcees, and a great selection of music! This event is going to help bring back the normalcy we are all craving right about now. Keep an eye out for registration information, which will be coming soon.
