Do you feel lethargic, tired, or even lazy? You might not be getting enough Vitamin B12, or cobalamin. Vitamin B12 is known as the energy vitamin. The body requires it for a number of vital functions. B12 is essential in producing energy, forming blood, DNA synthesis, and myelin formation. You can become vitamin B12 deficient by not getting enough in your diet, or your body is unable to absorb it from the food you eat. One in four American adults are deficient in Vita min B12. Nearly half the American population has suboptimal blood levels. There are a few different warning signs of B12 deficiency. They include memo ry problems, mood swings, apathy, and fatigue.
