Open every Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. until September 11, the 2025 Monroe Market is being held at 4 Munic ipal Plaza in front of the Monroe Township Library. Aside from honey and the Community Garden produce, people can stay for the live music and food trucks. To keep up with the weekly changes to vendors and activities visit their website. 2. Rutgers Community Farmers Market The Rutgers Community Farmers Market, including the New Brunswick Community Farmers Mar ket and Cook’s Market at Rutgers Gardens, hosts various markets weekly with the aim of bringing local food to people across New Brunswick. Currently the RCFM Market Pavilion is hosting a grocery on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are markets in Kilmer Square Park every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and in the Rutgers Gardens on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit their website for information. 3. West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market Open year round, the West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market was ranked fourth in the North east in the 2024 America’s Farmers Market Celebration. Visit the Lower Vaughn Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in order to see products from establishments such as Grovers Mill Coffee, Catalina Empanadas, and more. The organization also accepts donations to target food insecurity. 4. Hunterdon Community Farmers Market Support local businesses every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 111 Mine Street, Flemington. See vendors such as Jersey Girl Spices, Oscasio Soap Company, and Animal Alliance, to name a few. There are many benefits to shopping at local farmers’ markets, from the nutritional aspect of con suming fresh produce and fruit to the direct investment of money into the community, bolstering the local economy.
