The Millstone Times' STUDENT OF THE MONTH By Pam Teel

Eleven year old Gianna Maltese lives in Millstone Township and attends the Millstone Township Middle School. She is in the 6th grade. Two of her favorite subjects in school are science and social studies. She likes science because they get to do all different kinds of experiments and projects. What she likes about social studies is that she learns about all different kinds of history. She really likes her teachers because they are all very nice. One of her favorite classes is, STEAM, because they use all different kinds of tools to make things and they use a 3D printer and a laser cutter which is really fun. She made a boat with a flag and an anchor with the 3D printer.

Gianna studies hard and gets all A’s and B’s. She has earned ‘Honor Roll’ for the 2nd marking period. Her favorite books to read are the Lemonade War Series by Jacqueline Davies. She finds them very interesting. Her favorite movies are, Mrs. Doubtfire and Interstellar, and her favorite television show is Henry Danger. Gianna enjoys listening to Christian music. She is also learning to play the piano. She enjoys going to Youth Group at her church. Some of her hobbies include, dancing, singing, playing video games, doing Lego’s, sledding, going to the beach, looking at the stars, and hanging out with her family. One of her favorite places that she likes to go to is Wildwood, where she goes every summer with her family. She also enjoys going to the Bahamas, Aruba, and Florida. She likes to go jet skiing, snorkeling, and to go on water rides. Gianna lives with her mom and dad and has an older brother who is in high school. He has his own YouTube channel. She also has a cute little dachshund named Maple. Her favorite animal is a turtle. She thinks they are so cute. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. She likes it because she really loves getting gifts, seeing her family and celebrating Jesus’ birth. She loves to feel all the joy on Christmas morning. Gianna loves to do arts and crafts. She likes to play basketball and softball too. She also likes to do gymnastics. One of her favorite foods is pizza, and she likes to get it from her favorite pizza place, Vesuvio's in Millstone. She also loves chocolate ice cream, ravioli’s, garlic bread, and mashed potatoes. Gianna has many interests for a future career. One is that she would like to become an astronaut, another is a teacher, and another is to maybe one day become a Doctor. If she had but one wish, she would wish to have 10 feet of snow. Stay the sweet young woman you are Gianna and know that God has a perfectly divine plan and destiny set up for your life and he will be the One to guide you every step of the way!
