The Millstone Times STUDENT OF THE MONTH By Pam Teel

Isabella Creighton just finished up the 7th grade in Millstone Township. Like everyone else, her last few months were spent via learning from home due to the corona virus. Even though it was a different way of learning, not being in the classroom with her peers, Isabella en- joyed and thrived with the independent learning style. She finished this year with straight A’s and was on the high honor roll. What she missed about not be able to attend the Middle School was being able to interact with all of her friends. She also missed two of her favorite classes, directing and art. Isabella’s favorite subject in school is science. Her favorite books to read are any books by Rani Telgamier. Her Favorite TV shows are musicals and anything Disney. She also likes listening to Broadway songs. Her favorite Hobbies are Art- to be able to create mixed media in her art room, and baking. Isabella loves to bake. She self taught herself how to make everything from scratch including icings, cake batters fondant, etc.

She has also been in the Girl Scouts for the past 9 years. She is a Bronze Award Recipient: She was part of a group that built from scratch two Buddy Benches for the Prima- ry and Elementary Schools. They also supplied the school with a video that they created for the students to learn how to properly use them and curriculum for the teachers to guide proper use for the students. She also likes theater and was involved in School Plays and the Cornerstone Studios for summer Plays. She does gymnastics at Garden State Trampoline Academy and dance at Millstone Dance. Her favorite place to go is the beach with her mom, dad and younger brother. She has two Family Pets that were rescue Dogs - Lucky (6 years old Hound Terrier) and Frankie (3 year old Lab Bulldog) Her favorite holiday is Christmas because her whole family comes over to make holiday cookies together. Her favorite food to eat is Italian Food, especially stuffed shells and meatballs. If she had one wish it would be to be able to go out again and go back to school without wearing a mask. She also wants to see all her friends in person and not over the phone. Isabella is intensely disciplined with creative diligence and establishes excellence in all she engages to pursue! Great work getting straight A’s and excelling in your schoolwork Isabella. You should feel proud of all your hard work!!! Keep up the great grades.

If you have a child, friend, someone you know, who loves school and you would like to acknowledge them, please drop me an email. They don’t have to be a straight A student, just someone who works hard and likes learning. CRESCENT671@GMAIL.COM
