HOME IMPROVEMENT

What Is Upcycling Furniture? By Lauren Kowlacki Upcycling is the opposite of downcycling. Downcycling involves con- verting products to produce new materials of lesser quality. Upcycling is the opposite. Upcycling is used today in homes for furniture. This is a very cost-effective way to spruce up any living space by upcy- cling dated and older furniture. The process is typically inexpensive and simple. If your current home furniture lacks trends and styles you are looking for, changes in paint or stain and changing hardware are ways to upcycle. You can also search around your community to locate neighborhood yard sales, social media or antique shops for fortitude. Just make sure the frame and quality are still intact.
