In 2012, when Daniel Regan returned to New Jersey from treatment in California, there were no holistic therapies at local outpatient centers, no alternative pathways, not a single SMART recovery meeting in New Jersey, and 'peer support services' was a term that was overlooked and often discarded when spoken about. What started as a way for him to continue his recovery on the East Coast, Daniel and Lynn Regan founded CFC Loud N Clear Foundation which grew into a nonprofit organization that has provided peer support services and programs to over 12,500 families. Five years ago, as CFC Loud n Clear Foundation continued to fill the gap in aftercare treatment and dig through the trenches to prove the importance of peer support and long term care, Daniel realized the continued lack of integrative clinical support and therapy in the area. So the journey and dream of creating a true continuum of care and opening Relevance Behavioral Health began. Over the past five years, Daniel and Lynn found several suitable buildings to make this dream a reality and visited numerous different municipalities to get zoning and permits approved. They were asked by Mayors & Councils, 'what do your people look like?' They were told 'we do not want that in our town'...'we do not have addicts here'. They almost gave up on this dream multiple times, until they were embraced and welcomed into a town with open arms. During this time, 8 people a day died from addiction in the State of New Jersey - many of whom came from the townships that asked us 'what do your people look like?' We tell you this story because our mission at CFC has always been to remain LOUD N CLEAR - that is why it is in our name - for when people remain silent, change does not happen. We are proud and excited for what the future holds and we invite you on this journey with us. Relevance Behavioral Health is now open and accepting clients, offering holistic, integrative, multidisciplinary Partial Care, Intensive Outpatient, & Individual Counseling Services. Relevance will accept most out of network insurance policies for 30-90 days of care. Relevance is working closely with multiple detox centers in the area to provide full scholarships to the community every month. Laying on the dirt ridden floor after coming out of his sixth treatment center, Daniel Regan and his family felt defeated, lost, and confused. The same old approach and 30 days of care were not working for him. His journey to recovery began. This paragraph is now almost 10 years old and Daniel just welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. "Waking up for a few sober minutes, face wet, embedded on a dirt ridden floor, in this abandoned motel in the middle of Palm Springs…I was crying in my sleep.  I needed to run from myself, instead I reached for another needle….internal combustible self-hatred. If I remained sober for too many minutes I would have to realize where I was and what I had become."
