Cherry Grove Farm Honored As A Good Food Awards Finalist Cherry Grove Farm is proud to announce that their marquee farmstead cheeses, Havilah, and Havilah Reserve, have been honored as Good Foods Awards Finalists. The Good Food Awards are second to none in the industry for not only recognizing taste, but the sustainability and stewardship of their entrants.

We are a dairy farm and creamery situated on 480 acres of woodland, wetland and pasture in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, making award-winning farmstead cheeses from our grass-fed raw cows’ milk. Our cheeses are made in small batches and aged on the farm, with attention paid to the craft of cheesemaking from farm milk. Each piece reflects the distinct flavors, aromas and seasonal variations of our unique terroir.

At Cherry Grove Farm, we believe in working treading lightly on our land and creating a quality product for our community. Our farmstead cheeses are made by hand from our own cows’ milk. We practice rotational grazing on organically certified pasture right in the heart of New Jersey. We harvest our own hay in the spring and summer, which feeds our cows during the winter months, supplemented with some grain to ensure the optimal nutrition. Our

cheesemakers craft the milk into a variety of cheeses striving to harness the best flavor possible from our pastures. We use the byproduct of cheese making, whey, to feed our heritage breed pigs and as a natural fertilizer for our fields, contributing to our sustainable ethos. Havilah is a hard aged, raw milk cheese with some characteristics of the mountain cheeses of the alps. In the same breath it is also entirely our own after 10 years of honing the recipe to our aging environments, pastures, and of course our taste! Havilah is aged 9-15 months and the Reserve 16 months to 24 months. We are thrilled that the Good Food Awards recognizes the hard work of the grass-based farming that went into our cheese as well as it flavor and are honored by this recognition.
