News From The Allentown Garden Club The Allentown Garden Club is honored to have been invited by the Drumthwacket Foundation and the Garden Club of New Jersey to deco- rate Drumthwacket, the official residence of New Jersey’s Governor, for its upcoming 2019 holiday open house tour in Princeton. In this long-stand- ing holiday tradition called The Holidays at Drumthwacket, nine different garden clubs are selected from over 120 statewide garden clubs to decorate separate areas of the Governor’s mansion which are opened to the public for self-guided tours on select days in December. The decorated spaces include the front portico, foyer, dining room, parlor, music room, library and study. This is the first time the Allentown Garden Club has been asked to trans- form one room of Drumthwacket for the holiday season and its members are very excited to participate in this festive tradition. Parking and admis- sion to Drumthwacket’s holiday open house is free, but you must reserve your tickets in advance online. Don’t wait too long to reserve your tickets as this is a very popular event. For more information on the open house tours, dates, and to make online ticket reservations, visit the Drumthwacket website: https://drumthwacket. org/visit/open-houses/.
