East Windsor New Police Lieutenant Matthew Oehling and New Police Sergeant Robert Davison Are Promoted and Oaths of Office Administered to New Police Officers Chelsea Lyons and Andrew Smith Hired to Fill Open Positions. Lieutenant Matthew Oehling, hired in January 2006 after graduating from the Ocean County Police Academy, has served in Uniform Services as a Field Training Officer, Traffic Safety Officer, and Secondary and Primary Officer in Charge. In January 2020, Lieutenant Oehling was promoted to Sergeant, served as a platoon supervisor, then a Detective Sergeant as the Investigative Services Supervisor. Lieutenant Oehling has a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Criminal Justice from The College of New Jersey and a Master's Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Lieutenant Oehling will be assigned as Commander of Administrative Services. Sergeant Robert Davison, hired in October 2010 after graduating from the Cape May County Police Academy, has served in Uniform Services as a Field Training Officer and Primary and Secondary Officer in Charge. In February 2019, Sergeant Davison was assigned as a Detective to Investigative Services. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from The College of New Jersey and a Master's Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Sergeant Davison will be assigned as a platoon supervisor in Uniform Services. Police Officer Chelsea Lyons, who graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 2021, previously worked as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer for the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department. Officer Lyons has been assigned to the Uniform Services Division. Police Officer Andrew Smith, who graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy in April 2022, has a Bachelor's Degree from Montclair State University, and previously worked as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer for the North Wildwood Police Department. Officer Smith has been assigned to the Uniform Services Division.
