KIDS & CAMP

The Millstone Times STUDENT OF THE MONTH By Pam Teel

Thirteen-year-old Kyleigh Allen is in eighth grade in the Millstone Middle School.

Her favorite thing about school is being able to hang out with her friends. She also loves learning about science and math. She hopes to one day use what she learned in science class to become an anesthesiologist. Kyleigh’s maintains all A’s in her classes. She was awarded student of the month in school and is on the high honor roll. Her favorite books are Harry Potter and Children of Eden. She loves books with drama and mystery in them. Her favorite music is pop music and her favorite movie is Mama Mia. Kyleigh’s favorite sport is karate. She has been doing karate for 9 years and she is a third degree brown belt. She also helps teach karate.

She has also received her bronze and silver award from Girl Scouts. She got a group of friends to- gether and they made 50 blankets to donate to a local animal shelter. The team cut and sewed the fabric together and packaged them up. They also brought the packages to the shelter for all the needy animals. They created flyers to help bring awareness to the fact that so many shelters need supplies and donations in hopes that people would help out and adopt these pets before they are put down. She and her family visit Lake George every year. It’s one of her favorite places to go. If she could go anywhere, she would want to go to Hawaii on vacation. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. Kyleigh loves opening presents on Christmas Day and being able to spend time with her family and the people she loves. If she could have one wish, she would want to cure all diseases. She hates seeing people suffer from being sick. She would want to help fix that. Even if she can’t make that wish come true, she hopes by being a doctor she can be one step closer to doing that. Keep up the great grades in school Kyleigh. We know that you will work hard to achieve your dreams of helping others and helping the animals as well. ***Attention Allentown, Hightstown, East Windsor, Millstone, Etc*** If you have a child that you feel deserves a shout out for Student of the Month please email me at: Crescent671@gmail.com and I’ll send you a form. Your child doesn’t have to get straight A’s but does have to show a genuine love for learning. Her favorite pet is a dog. Though she has no pets, she hopes one day to get one. Her favorite food to eat is chicken and mac and cheese.
