Mayor Janice S. Mironov Presented 2019 "Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders" $1,000 Scholarship Award to East Windsor Class of 2019 High School Student, Simrit Grewal. Simrit Grewal is one of three statewide winners of the 2019 "Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders" $1,000 Scholarship award, sponsored by the New Jersey League of Municipalities. The statewide scholarship competition centers on the theme "What My Mayor and Governing Body Do Best" and seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volun- teer members of the community, while raising awareness of munici- pal government in general. Simrit Grewal is a student member of the Township Health Advisory Board and will be attending Princeton Uni- versity. Mayor Janice S. Oath of Office Administered to New Police Officer John Cate who fills a police vacancy. Police Officer John Cate, who graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 2017, is currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice at Ocean County College. He previously served as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer with the Lacey Township and Point Pleasant Beach police departments, and as a telecommunications officer with Ocean Township. Officer Cate has been assigned to the Uniform Services Division.
