We started off as dogs only & expanded to cats & we occasionally adopt out a bunny, bird, guinea pig or horse. We are foster based & have a facility where we board many of our dogs. We are partnered with Animal Care & Control of NYC, Associated Humane Society of NJ & work with international rescues in the Middle East & occasionally Asia. We also have adoption days in your area. If you see a pet you might want to get more information on, please get in touch with us at: info@zanisfurryfriends.org Dogs currently for adoption: Cooper -male, Breed: Pap, 5 years old, 13lbs, no children for him Pirate- male, Breed; Saluki Aussie, 8 months old Moo- female, breed: Canaan, 9 months old, 25 lbs - she’s Antonella’s sister, from same litter By Pam Teel Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue is a small, grassroots network of 10 to 12 animal lovers working together to reha- bilitate 6 to 10 rescued dogs at a time, until that rescue is ready for placement as a companion animal. We pull dogs from both local New Jersey kill-shelters, the New York City Animal Care and Control’s nightly “To Be Destroyed” List, and Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control. We are committed to providing spay/neuter, all appropriate medical treatment, foster homes, training, socializing, and creating behavioral improvement plans for every dog who enters Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue. Pick Your Paw makes a lifetime commitment to each dog to help them become stable pets and to match them to their best forever home. Education of the adopter and general public are vital components of our program as we work to end the ease with which people give up on, and ‘throw away’ their family pets. Each dog that exits a shelter, a surrendering home, or a transport vehicle hears the same whispered words, “You are safe. You will not be hurt again. You will find your home, I promise you.” In every walk, play date, training class, adoption event or adopter interview, this promise is made good. Tiara -This love is about 3-years old. She was pulled from a local shelter to give her a chance to know what love is in a foster home. She is settling in very nicely but would love her own family soon. Rover -This little coconut retriever is about 5-months old and super sweet. Please place an adoption application if you are interested. Reminder, puppy training classes are required with adoption.
