Parking is FREE and is available adjacent to the Historical Society at 164 North Main Street or in the municipal parking lot by the lake. Tickets are $18 each and available through the both organization’s Facebook page as well as Eventbrite.com. “We are thrilled to work with Downtown Hightstown to bring this series of Walking Tours to Hightstown," says Hightstown East Windsor Historical Society President, Cappy Stults. The tours are approximately 90 minutes long and will cover much of the downtown area which also boasts many fine shops and eateries, many of which are in buildings that date back to the late 1800’s. When asked about partnering with the Historical Society on this project, Brent Rivenburgh, Downtown Hightstown President said, “We are excited about the Historic Walking Tour Program and feel it is a great way to experience our great little town in person all while learning about Hightstown’s yesteryears. It only made sense to work with the Hightstown East Windsor Historical Society as they are the experts about our town’s rich history and have down a wonderful job throughout the years celebrating and preserving Hightstown’s past.” For questions, please contact Cristina Fowler, cristinacfowler@gmail.com.
