H

eading into fall is always a bittersweet time of year for me. I love the summer because of all the great events and things to do around the Jersey shore this time of the year. But, the fall is such a great time for our association and some of the most important events for Shore Builders take place as the weather turns cooler.

I would like to once again congratulate all our award winners, who were recognized at our Appreciation Night a Night of Honor event on September 13th. The night was a fantastic celebration of those invaluable members that have worked tirelessly to ensure the longevity of our association, so once again, please join me in congratulating the following members:

In October, we will be gathering at the Blackman showroom for our Young Professionals Happy Hour. I invite all members (not just the “Young Guns”) to come out for some networking. We can’t stress how important it is to the success of your membership to come out to events and get to know other members. If you’re not sure about it, or would like us to introduce you around, let us know. Our membership committee is here to help you get to know other members so you can establish relationships within our industry. Our Annual Elections will be on November 8th at the Ferguson showroom in Lakewood. We will be asking members to vote for the new President, Officers, and Board members. This event is a casual networking atmosphere where you will have the opportunity to browse Ferguson’s showroom, meet up with friends and colleagues, and learn more about the hierarchy of our association.

As the holidays approach, we will be installing our new President, as well as our newly elected Officers and Board Members on December 6th. This is a wonderful time to get to know our association’s leadership, who are more than happy to talk with new (or existing) members about succeeding in our industry. As you can see, there are some very important events at Shore Builders that you should not miss out on this fall. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you!
