This fall, our past Shore Builders President Corey Wescoe will be running the NY Marathon to benefit Jar of Hope, an organization that raises awareness about a childhood disease called Duchenne Muscular Distrophy. There is currently no cure, but with your help that could change. Learn more about Corey’s campaign click here.

organizations on a personal level. This provides an opportunity for our association to help support these initiatives in a variety of ways. Our Professional Women in Building council, as well as our Young Professionals committee are philanthropically focused and are proud of the following members that are helping us help others. Last year, our very own current PWB President, Georgette Kyriacou was crowned the Person of the Year at a gala event. She raised over $70,000 in a 10-week period to benefit research and patients afflicted by blood cancers. As you know, this is very near and dear to our hearts as our Executive Officer Gina McNamara’s mother passed away last year from this disease. Georgette then nominated fellow PWB member, Danielle Bagdzinksi to campaign for Person of the Year for 2018. We are so proud and please to announce that Danielle raised over $40,0000, contributing to a total of more than $500,000 for the overall campaign. Thank you Danielle for your hard work and dedication in helping so many fight this disease. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Person of the Year Campaign

Young Professionals Committed to Arc

The Young Professionals Committee is supporting Builders League of South Jersey Member and Past President Winfield (Ziggy) Ziegenfuss in the construction of a group home for Arc of Gloucester for four consumers, one of which will be Ziggy’s son. Many NJBA members, include several of ours are contributing time, materials, labor, and/or cash donations to support this effort, including Pittenger Builders, CMM Homes, EAM, All County Enterprises, and Ferguson. In addition the PWB has committed to helping with the painting of the interior of the home for Women’s Build Day. For more information or to offer assistance with this project, please contact Shore Builders Association for details.

View Corey’s personal message about his involvement click here.

In addition, we will be collecting donations at our Annual BBQ on the Beach, Thursday, July 19th at Martell’s Tiki Bar – look for the large “jar” of hope!
