Gellman Images Releases Documentary of Roosevelt, New Jersey Featuring Undiscovered Movie Footage of Albert Einstein and Eleanor Roosevelt Freehold, NJ – The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County and Gellman Images, will be pre miering the documentary Life in Roosevelt: A Tapestry of the Jewish-American Dream - with historical foot age of Albert Einstein and Eleanor Roosevelt walking among the residents of the small Jewish community of Jersey Homesteads (later known at Roosevelt, NJ) - on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 4pm. “Working on this project has been incredible,” Filmmaker Gary Gellman said. “Uncovering a small, yet heartfelt and impactful Jewish commu nity and discovering historical footage of great leaders such as Albert Einstein and Eleanor Roos evelt has been a highlight of my career.” Life in Roosevelt: A Tapestry of the Jewish-Amer ican Dream is an oral history project of the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County about the history and first-person accounts of living in Roo sevelt, New Jersey. This community was created under Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal initiatives and was the only agro-industrial community creat ed for urban Jewish immigrants.
