Kirsten Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey in 1982 to parents Inez Rupprecht and Klaus Dunst. Entering the industry at the very young age of 3 years old, she be gan to model and appear in various commercials. After appearing in The Bonfire of the Vanities in 1990, her family, including her younger broth er Christian Dunst, moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to help further her film career.

The movie that really brought Dunst to a different level of fame was her part as the character Claudia in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Starring along with big name actors like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, her performance resulted in her Golden Globe nomination, MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and the Saturn Award for Best Young Actress at just 12 years old! She continued her career, playing Amy March in Little Women (1994), Judy Shepard in Jumanji (1995), Lux Lisbon in The Virgin Suicides (1999), Torrance Shipman in the hit comedy Bring It On (2000), Mary Jane Wat son in Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3 (2002-2007), Justine in Melancholia (2011), and other numerous characters. Just this year, Dunst was nominated for her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in The Power of the Dog (2021). This movie is a Western drama based on the novel by Thomas Savage, in which a rancher torments his brother’s wife and son until he finds himself open to the possibility of love. Kirsten Dunst plays Rose Gordon, the depressed and distressed wife who skulks around the ranch home in Montana. Despite the apparent differ ences of Rose Gordon and her previous roles, Dunst showcases a common theme: her characters have desires waiting to be fulfilled. Although she didn’t win the Oscar nomination, Dunst mirrors her characters in this way as she is one step closer to achieving her lifelong dreams. In the story, Rose Gordon’s husband is a man named George Burbank, who is actually played by Kirsten Dunst’s fiancé Jesse Plemons. They first met on the set of Season 2 of the show “Fargo” in 2015. They have been dating since 2016 and now have two children together: Ennis Howard Ple mons and James Robert Plemons. Adored by fans and winning awards after awards, Kirsten Dunst is in no way stopping her career as an actor any time soon.
